Welcome to 31 Days of Star Wars! As this is a new blog I thought this would be the perfect way for you to get to know me a bit by answering a different question about my Star Wars preferences each day in March. Today’s subject is…
Favourite Jedi
While this was easier than picking my favourite Rebel or favourite Imperial, I was still stuck with a hard decision here. I was so close to picking Ahsoka Tano, who I admit took some time to warm to in the early seasons on The Clone Wars, but has since become one of my favourite characters ever. I have instead gone for a character I have never had any problem warming to: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“Who’s the more foolish: the fool or the fool who follows him?”

Played brilliantly by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor in the films, and voiced equally well by James Arnold Taylor and Stephen Stanton in The Clone Wars and Rebels, Kenobi is a great character that we have seen grow from a brash young padawan to a wise Jedi master. He has sacrificed much to the Jedi Order during his life but continues to stay true to his vows, is involved in some of the best lightsaber duels in the entirety of Star Wars canon and is never far from a sarcastic quip that often bites even deeper than his lightsaber blade.
I continue to hope that the much-rumoured Obi-Wan standalone movie goes ahead soon, as I would love to see Ewan McGregor don the brown robe again.
Who’s your favourite Jedi? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading and May the Force be with you…
